Stephen Ministry

Stephen Ministry offers a one-to-one caring ministry by lay people to persons who are experiencing difficulties in their life journeys. A Stephen Minister assists a care receiver whose particular needs seem compatible with the Stephen Minister's particular gifts. Both men and women may train to be Stephen Minister's.

The caring relationship is reviewed twice monthly in peer supervision meetings in which confidentiality is strictly observed. No names are used and details are kept to a minimum. These meetings are also the occasion for continuing education in listening and caring skills.

The Beginning Experience

Beginning Experience is a peer ministry for those who have lost a spouse due to death, divorce or separation. The weekends, held four times a year, hope to allow the participants to put closure on the past, and to create a new beginning in the present.

Rebuilding

Rebuilding is a ministry of Holy Trinity Charismatic Episcopal Church, Peace Lutheran Church both in Hurst and St John the Apostle Catholic Church in North Richland Hills for the Separated and Divorced. This ministry is designed to promote healing, growth and hope for the future. This is an excellent program for anyone who has suffered a loss through separation or divorce. Please join us. Babysitting is available at no cost and there is no charge for attending the sessions.
